Lip kits to rival Kylie's?

Recently we've seen a lot of Drugstore lip kits popping up. With new spring launches from both Makeup Revolution and Lottie London including them but the that are getting the most hype are the Barry M Limited edition Matte me up lip kits. As with the original Kylie kits these contain a lip liner pencil and a liquid matte lipstick. With these being Limited edition I did end up picking all three up whilst they were in stock on the Superdrug website.

I am honestly so impressed with these and I really wish there was a bigger shade selection. The lip liners are incredibly creamy and ever so slightly darker then the matte lipsticks making them perfect to overline the lips in a more natural way. The Liquid lips are a really lovely thin formula and feel incredibly comfortable on the lips. They are some of the most non-drying liquid lips which I have tried from the drugstore. They are completely opaque in one thin coat however even if they do require a little building they don't flake at all. In terms of lasting power these fade really evenly and don't go patchy like so many other products like these do.

Go to - Runway - Pose
Out of the three my favourite colour is definitely Go to which is a really stunning browny nude shade, the other two are Pose which is a pale baby pink nude, and finally there is Runway which is a really beautiful muted berry pink. I have to say on me I don't think Pose is the most flattering shade however I can see myself getting a lot of use out of the other two.  So that's my thoughts, I'd love to know if you guys have tried these and what you think of them. I'm just going to be over here praying they release some more shades.

February Makeup

I cannot quite believe we are in March already and that my birthday has come and gone for another year. Today is the time of the month that I show you what a typical makeup look has been for me in the previous month. In February I definitely wore quite a bit of minimal makeup due to going to Iceland, being manically busy and having a steroid injection in my hip. So without further ado lets get on with this months very minimal makeup.

Clinique Beyond perfecting foundation and concealer -
I picked this up in Duty free on my way out as I had heard so much stuff about it and I'm so glad I did it is just the most insane coverage but incredibly comfortable and light on the skin. I wasn't sure how this was going to fare on my dry skin as I tend to avoid any higher coverage foundations as they have a tendency to cake however this one just looks so beautiful and doesn't settle into any patches. I also find that this doesn't set into my smile lines which is a massive problem I have with higher coverage bases.

Mac Pro longwear concealer -
This is another product that so many people love and another one that I picked up in Duty free. This like the foundation is very high coverage but doesn't feel cakey. Working equally as well under the eyes as it does on blemishes. I don't need a lot of this with the Clinique foundation however I do like a little bit just to add some brightness under my eyes.

Urban Decay Beached bronzer in Bronzed -
I mentioned this in my last monthly makeup post and possibly the ones before then as I bloody love it. I just think it is the best bronzer for paler skins and it adds both a nice amount of warmth and a little bit of sculpting. I'm not going to go on about it as I speak about it so much but all you need to know is that it is incredible and you need it.

Urban Decay Afterglow highlight in Sin -
Another one that I mentioned last month but I literally haven't used anything else so I had to include it. It is the most beautiful champagne shade which is super metallic and doesn't emphasise any skin texture at all which is a problem I have with a lot of metallic highlighters. Again I'm not going to go on about it but I would definitely suggest you give this a swatch if you are in store.

Pillow Talk, Syrup, Bronzed, Sin

Anastasia Dip brow in Medium brown -
I have gone back to my beloved Anastasia dip brow this month as it is just my favourite ever brow product. I just love this for both a dramatic brow and a nice natural one. Recently I've been going for a slightly more toned down brow as I just think a heavy one is to much to go with this otherwise minimal makeup.

Gosh Rebel eyes Mascara -
This is my favourite drugstore mascara at the moment. It does a brilliant job of separating and lengthening the lashes whilst just giving enough volume. I personally prefer a more lengthened look rather than lots of volume. I would highly recommend that if you are on the look out for a new mascara I'd give this one a go.

Charlotte Tilbury Lip cheat in Pillow talk -
I have recently dug this out of my collection and have fallen completely in love with it again. It is so stunning and perfect for over lining the lips and it is just incredibly comfortable to wear unlike a lot of liners.

Mac Lustre Lipstick in Syrup -
This shade is one of my favourite everyday shades and one I wear a lot. It is a gorgeous slightly purple toned nude which for me is just the perfect my lips but better shade. The only thing I will say about this is that it isn't the longest lasting however it isn't a problem for me to reapply throughout the day.

February Posts I loved.

Hey guys, so it's that time of the month again where I share with you some of my favourite posts I have loved. I hope you enjoy this and don't forget to check out all the posts I mention as they are all fab!

This is a list of handy tips which you can use in order to help growth on Bloglovin', I definitely do find that blog followers are hard to grow in such an over saturated market so I am definitely going to be giving these tips a go!

If you've read any of my monthly posts I have loved before you will know I absolutely love photography tip posts and also Lily's blog. This post is just well written, easy to follow and mentions some really fab tips which I am definitely going to be using to up my photography game.

I do try not to mention on of Jasmines post in everyone of these posts but I just love them. Along with my current obsession for liquid lipsticks I simply to mention this post. Not only do I love the photography but I love Jasmine's ability to summarise a full review into only a few short sentences.

Again this is another well written lot of tips which are really simple and I thought this would be a fab post for any newbie bloggers as it doesn't involve anything complex they are just simple tips to make pictures better quality and more interesting.

So I have a little obsession with finding hidden gems which no one ever talks about and I absolutely love posts like this as a way of finding those products. This post actually inspired me to write my second underrated products post so I definitely had to involve it in this line up.

I have never actually done a proper spending ban but I have to say this post left me feeling inspired. I am really intrigued as to how I would go on doing one and am definitely considering starting one at the end of this month. What I loved about this is that it was brutally honest and there was no I knew I was going to sail through this.

As mentioned previously I am a huge magpie for liquid lipsticks so this post was right down my alley. Again like in Jasmine's post I liked the fact that the reviews were quick meaning that I was able to get the facts quickly. I also loved the way the review were split up so both the liquid lip and the liner each got their own mini review.

So that's it for today guys, I hope you enjoyed this post and would love for any of you bloggers to leave the links of the post of yours which you were most proud of this month so I can check it out.

Underrated products #2

So I put up a underrated products post up a couple of months ago and it seemed to go down pretty well so today I thought I would share some more products with you. These are all products which I really love which I feel like don't get enough shout outs on blogs and in videos. So without further ado lets get into the products.

Clarins BB skin detox fluid -

I've heard really mixed things about this one but only after looking for the reviews. It isn't something I've seen cropping up in many blog posts and I have seen very few stand alone reviews. For me this is the perfect light coverage base as it sits incredibly comfortably on my dry skin. The only little thing I will say is that even though I have the shade 00 it still is a little too dark and I have to be really careful I blend it down my neck properly. Other than that I think it's a brilliant product and I also like the way it's a squeezy tube with a pump as it makes it good for travel but not too messy.

Bourjois Radiance reveal concealer -

I feel like this was talked about a tiny bit when it was first released however since then I'm pretty sure I haven't seen it mentioned which puzzles me a little as it is an incredible concealer for under the eyes. The texture is incredibly light weight meaning that it doesn't feel heavy under the eyes but also meaning that it doesn't sink into any dry patches. Despite the fact it is lightweight however it still packs a punch coverage wise and I find it brilliant to cover my dark circles completely.

Urban Decay Beached bronzer in Bronzed -

This bronzer is incredible. It's such a beautiful warm shade without pulling too orange meaning that it adds the perfect amount of warmth without going for the full oompa loompa look. I do love the incredibly hyped Benefit Hoola however I do find this one is just a little easier to use. I prefer the texture as it is a little lighter and slightly finer milled meaning even though the shade is darker it just looks a little more natural. I honestly don't know why this stuff doesn't get more hype as it really is beautiful.

Clinique Cheek pop blush in Berry pop -

I feel like all I ever see about these is people mentioning how pretty they are but I honestly really love the products too. They are 100% the most pigmented but incredibly easy to use blushes. I find that even though the pigment is strong they are still very easy to blend no matter how many or how few layers they are going on top off. This shade is a fairly bright pink and not one I would normally go for but I do think it is really stunning and one that I use a hell of a lot in the summer.

Bourjois Radiance reveal, Clinique Berry pop, Urban Decay Beached bronzer, Clarins BB cream.

NYX Prismatic eyeshadows in Golden peach and Fireball -

These are so similar to the Makeup Geek foiled shadows so if you do prefer to swatch before you buy then these would be good ones to try first. They are very metallic beautifully pigmented shades which I wear so much. What I love about the line is that there is a huge variety of shades from the much more neutral to the crazy bright. If you are on the hunt for an affordable metallic eyeshadow then look no further than these.

Gosh Rebel eyes mascara -

I have heard no one talk about this and I have no idea why it is incredible. It does the best job of really separating the lashes and adding a tonne of length. If you are more into your volumising mascaras then this might not be your favourite however if you want something to really lengthen and make your lashes look super fluttery this is what you need.

NYX Prismatic shadows in Golden peach and Fireball
Illamasqua Lip colouring pencils in Woo and Lust -

These are a fairly recent discovery but boy am I in love. These are some of the most creamy lip liners I have tried however they aren't so creamy that they feel as though they aren't going to keep your lipstick in place. These are proper pencil style liner which require sharpening which I personally prefer as you can sharpen the point every time meaning you always get a beautifully clean application.

Gerard Cosmetics Hydra Matte liquid lipsticks in Serenity and Cher -

I actually have ten shades of these but I thought I would swatch my favourite two for you. These are hands down the most comfortable liquid lipstick I have ever worn. They sit so nicely on the lips and even after a full day of wear the lips aren't dry and uncomfortable. Out of all the Liquid lips I have tried these are in no way the most long lasting but the comfort of the wear leads me to reach for them all the time.

The Balm Meet Matt(e) Hughes in Committed and Charming -

Another amazing Liquid lip formula that you never hear anything about are these. They are a very thin, opaque consistency meaning that again like the GC ones these don't dry out the lips. Towards the end of the day you do get a little flaking however I do expect that with a Liquid lip. These also smell incredible like minty goodness and I mean it gets bonus points from me for that.

Illamasqua Woo and Lust, Gerard cosmetics Serenity and Cher, The Balm meet matte Hughes in Charming and Committed.
So that's it for today guys, I would love to know if you feel some of your favourite products don't get enough hype!
