Blogmas ¦ Day 4 - The budget berry lip

I wrote about a little nude lip combo from Primark not to long ago and I was so impressed by the lip liner that I had to pick up another one. I also decided that I fancied trying on of their velvet matte lip pencils. I did speak quite a lot about the liner in the last post so I'm not going to talk to much but if you didn't read that post. The liners are incredibly creamy and they don't drag on the lips at all.

So moving onto the velvet lip pencil I am even more impressed with these than I am with the liners. It sets down beautifully to an almost matte finish but it feels so creamy on the lips. I'll definitely be getting some more shades! At £2 a piece you really cannot complain. I'd definitely like to give the Nars velvet matte lip pencils a go so I can compare them!

In terms of colours the liner in Wine is quite a deep red slightly purple shade. It actually reminds me of a more purple version of Rimmel 107. Whereas the velvet matte lip pencil in purple is a very pinky purple shade which is a similar colour to mac rebel.

Have you given any of the Primark lip products? If you have let me know which ones you love!

Blogmas ¦ Day 3 - The beauty reward card roundup

I love a good beauty reward card so today I thought I'd show you ones I think are worth having.

The Body shop love your body club -

Up until very recently the body shop card was £5 a year and you received a free gift when you signed up or renewed. This way you received 10% off everything you bought. Recently they have swapped to a point system where you receive 10 points per pound and each point is worth a penny. They also do offers throughout the year that give members special perks. You can get these points in denominations of £5 and you can use then towards a product or just them. I think this is a really fab card to have especially if you do a lot of shopping in the body shop.

Superdrug Beauty card -

Out of these four cards I would say that this one is the one that I wouldn't tell you to rush out and get. You receive 1 point per pound which is worth a penny so they do build up really slowly. However they do have special points offers on certain products. The good thing about these is that you can use them in denominations of a £1 towards a shop unlike in boots when you have to pay completely in points or completely in money.

Space NK N.dulge card -

This one is one I don't use to often however it definitely is well worth it for each pound you spend you receive one point and each point is worth 5p. However if you aren't a regular spender at Space NK points do run out after 12 months if you don't use them. This is one of the cards that I would only suggest getting if you are a regular shopper. You can also be upgraded to a level two card where points are worth 10p however it requires you to spend £1000 over the course of the year and if during the year you have the level two card you don't spend £1000 pound again you go back to being a level one member.

Boots Advantage card -

Saving the best till last in my eyes this one is the bee's knee's of all the reward cards. For each £1 you spend you receive 4 points and each point is worth 1 penny. I think this one is so brilliant as it means that you can pick up all your toiletries and even your lunch whilst earning 4 points for every pound you spend. Boots also send out vouchers quarterly with things like double points and so many points if you spend a certain amount and they have an app which I'm pretty sure gets new E-vouchers monthly which you can upload straight onto your card. The one complaint I do have about this card is that your points must cover the full amount of your purchase so you can't pay half in points and half in cash or anything like that.

So that's my roundup I hope you enjoyed it and if their are any reward cards you feel I'm missing out on let me know in the comments.

Blogmas ¦ Day 2 - Makeup empties

I haven't done an empties post in a while as I figured you guys where probably a little bit sick of seeing the same thing month after month (Garnier ultimate blends shampoo I'm looking at you) So I figured I'd just save the make up empties as they are a little more exciting.

So getting the only non-makeup product out of the way I had to include the lush comforter shower cream just so I could say how amazing it smelt again! I love the comforter bubble bar so when I saw this in my local lush I had to grab it. I will say though at £4 this tiny bottle didn't last very long so if I do repurchase I'll definitely be investing in a bigger bottle.

Primer wise I finished both Benefits porefessional which you can clearly see how much I love as I hacked into the tube to make sure I had used it all and I also finished the Maxfactor facefinity primer which was nice however not something I'd go out of my way to repurchase, I feel like this would be a good one for if you've got lovely skin and you just need something to keep your foundation on longer rather than to sort out other skin complaints like large pores or redness. I also finished a mini primer potion months and months ago, so long ago in fact that I'm actually about 3/4 of the way through the tube I repurchased when this ran out.

I finished a couple of mascaras. First off we have my all time favourite mascara which is benefit's they're real. I got this one for my birthday as everyone knows how obsessed I am with it. I actually haven't repurchased it yet as I have a couple of mascaras to work through first however I definitely will. I also finished Seventeen's doll'd up mascara which was nice however it isn't a product that I'm likely to repurchase. Also for eyes I finished a Collection Fast stroke liner which I absolutely love. This is one of those products that despite the fact I don't use it all the time I like to have one in my stash at all times.

Finally for this little makeup empties I finished a pot of my beloved Nuxe Reve de meil lip balm. I was actually so worried about running out of this one that I had a pot on standby for about a month. This is my absolute favourite lip balm and it's something I definitely cannot be without!

Blogmas ¦ Day 1 - November favourites

I actually really struggled with picking my favourites this month. I seen to have tried so many products that I've really enjoyed so narrowing them down was pretty tough. However in the end I managed to get it down to five absolutely awesome products.

If you read my drugstore lip lacquer post (Here) then you will know that both the lip products I'm showing you today made it into the top category. Sleek Matte me in Birthday suit is the perfect "Kylie Jenner" lip colour for me. It's a brown-y pink nude which looks stunning on it's own but I also love to pair it with a darker nude liner to make it a little darker. It feels incredibly comfortable on the lips and last for hours and hours without fading or beginning to break up. The other lip lacquer I have is the I heart makeup Lip lava in Firestorm which is a beautiful dark red shade. This goes one glossy and then after a couple of hours the gloss wears off and you are left with a slightly lighter red stain which lasts all day.

Eye wise I've been loving the Collection Your mood your style palette which contains two looks. One which is pink toned and the other which is more bronze toned. These shadows are beautiful, the quality is excellent for the price, they blend seamlessly and the staying power is also pretty impressive. Something that I've had for a while is the Gosh Velvet touch liner in the shade Black ink. For the past couple of months I've been using it pretty much every single day to tightline my eyes and I love it. It's the only kohl liner I've found that doesn't end up all smudged underneath my eyes at the end of the day. I just love the way it makes my lashes look much thicker.

Finally for this months favourites I have a nail shade that I was obsessed with about this time of year last year. Essie Aruba blue is a gorgeous metallic dark blue shade. As with al Essie polishes the wear time is pretty good and I can get about three and a half days wear out of it before it starts chipping.

So that's it for this months favourites. I hope you enjoyed this post and I'd love for you to let me know what your favourites are in the comments.
